In commemorating the birthday of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, the State Judiciary Department had organized a badminton, futsal dan table tennis tournament opened to the staffs of the State Judicary Department, Civil and Syariah Courts.

The objective of this tournament is to give awareness on the importance of sports for the health in everyday life besides strenghtening the understanding and friendship amongst the officers and staffs of the State Judiciary Department may it be the Civil or Syariah Courts.

The badminton tournament was held on Sunday, 19th July 2009 at the Youth Centre. A total of 33 participants participated in this tournament. The competition was divided into the open, veteran and ladies category.

Whereas a total of 8 teams participated in the futsal tournament which was held on Sunday, 19th July 2009 at the PWD Multipurpose Hall. In this competition Al-Ahkam emerged as champion, the runner-up was Subordinate Court Team A and third place was State Judiciary Department Team.

It is hoped that such championship will be further organized with the cooperation from the relevent parties.
