His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam today administered the oath of office to Dato Seri Paduka Hj Kifrawi Dato Paduka Hj Kifli as the newly-appointed Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Brunei Darussalam at the Istana Nurul Iman.

The appointment of Dato Hj Kifrawi is effective from today, who replaces Dato Seri Paduka Mohd Saied after completion of his term of appointment.

The ceremony began with the reading out of the letters of appointment by the Grand Chamberlain, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Penggawa Laila Bentara Istiadat Diraja Dalam Istana Pengiran Hj Alauddin Pengiran Paduka Tuan Pengiran Hj Abu Bakar.

Also present at the ceremony were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
