The State Judiciary Department held a Hari Raya Celebration at the the Brunei Supreme Court and the Syariah Courts Building in the capital on the 12th October 2009. Present at the ceremony were the Brunei Chief Justice, Dato Seri Paduka Haji Kifrawi bin Dato Paduka Haji Kifli, the Syariah Chief Judge, Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Yahya bin Haji Ibrahim and the Attorney General, Datin Paduka Hajah Hayati binti Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Salleh.

Also present were the Panel of Judges for the Syariah Court of Appeal , the Judges of the Civil and Syariah High Courts as well as officers and staff of the Civil Courts, Syariah Courts and the State Judiciary Department. 

Certificate of appreciation were presented to the Officers and Staff that had retired or moved and one of the recepient being Datin Paduka Hjh Hayati who was previously a High Court Judge and was appointed as the Attorney General on the 6th August 2009.

Prizes were also presented to winners of the Judicial Games 2009 for the sports of Futsal, Badminton and Table Tennis.
